Strathmill 2006 13 Year Old Signatory Vintage Scotch Whisky

Signatory Vintage Scotch Whisky was established in 1988 by Andrew Symington, who had previously managed the prestigious Prestonfield House Hotel in Edinburgh. In 2002 the firm acquired Edradour distillery from Pernod Ricard, and subsequently moved all of its operations north to the picturesque Perthshire location.

Strathmill distillery, owned by Diageo and found in the Speyside region of Scotland is firmly in the 'fruity' style of malt, especially when matured in ex-sherry casks. 

This single malt whisky was distilled in 2006 at the Strathmill distillery an initial maturation in a refill Sherry Butt then Finished in a Fresh Sherry Butt for 8 Months.

Expect a robust but fruity malt, with notes of chocolate, nuts and dried sherry character.
