The Glenturret Triple Wood 2022 Release Single Malt Scotch Whisky

The Glenturret claim to be Scotlands Oldest Distillery. Time muddies water of course, particularly when marketers are splashing around. Who was first is irrelevant to what tastes the best, and certainly the last 15-20 years at The Glenturret has seen a marked increase in quality of production.

This 2022 Release of the Glenturret Triple Wood has definitely turned heads, and has picked up some VERY impressive medals to it's name, including 99 points and the Gold Outstanding medal at the 2023 IWSC.

The Whisky itself is matured in a mix of American, European and ex-sherry casks (hence the 'triple' wood). 

Expect notes of toffee apple, citrus and freshly cut oak. Gentle oak spices, ginger and vanilla notes leads to a fruity finish.
