Springbank is one of only 3 remaining distilleries in the whisky producing region of Cambpeltown - once a hive of whisky distillation.
Due to the exposed, coastal location of the town, Campbeltown (240km south-west of Glasgow) whiskies have their own distinct character defined particularly by an oily, briny quality.
Whilst bourbon casks are primarily used for maturation of Springbank malts, allowing the distillery character to shine through, a number of sherry casks are also used for added body.
Joyous and intriguing Springbank! Campbeltown at it's best! Springbank 15 year old scotch whisky brings incredible complexity of flavour: dark chocolate, figs, toffee, brazil nuts and vanilla. Full and Rich with a note of oak tannin. A great dram.
