Old Pulteney distillery is located way-up north in the Highlands of Scotland, not far from the town of Wick on Scotlands east coast. The cooler weather way up north ensures a slower maturation (and a lower angel's share). Wick itself was an old fishing town in days gone by, and the history is celebrated in the packaging of the Old Pulteney Scotch Whiskies.

The Old Pulteney 12 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky is matured for 12 years in hand selected ex-Bourbon casks (mostly second fill), creating a firm-bodied yet smooth malt with notes of honey and cream, fruity undertones and fresh spice. A faint coastal influence is present but only in a supporting role.
