Single Malt Scotch Whisky From Islay's Farm Distillery
Named after the most spectacular beach on Islay, Machir Bay is the flagship of the Kilchoman range. Established in 2005, Kilchoman (pronounced Kilhoman) is one of the smallest distilleries in Scotland, and one of the youngest. But don't let that taint your perception. The Whiskies they produce are quite simply world class!
The Machir Bay single malt Scotch Whisky release from Kilchoman distillery has a vatting of approximately 90% ex-Bourbon barrels and 10% ex-Oloroso sherry casks. While no age is disclosed, it is known to be a vatting of youthful malts (all aged 3, 4 or 5 years old).
The Kilchoman Machir Bay was Awarded Best Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky - Non Age Statement at the IWSC 2016.
