Iniquity Silver Series Batch 024 Australian Single Malt Whisky
700ml | 46% ABV
Dark fruit, fortified-wine richness and plenty to unpack.
The Silver Series offers a window into Tin Shed’s house style: generous fruit, chocolate and caramel, with enough complexity to keep you coming back for another look. Each batch is an opportunity to explore that character through a different selection of casks.
Batch 024 spends five years in tawny and apera casks, combining American and French oak. The result moves between rich sweetness and savoury, drying notes, with dark fruit, caramel and spice giving way to sour plum, tobacco and a playful raspberry-lolly finish.
Tin Shed’s hands-on approach runs from milling the malt to selecting the casks and bottling the whisky. Here, that attention delivers a dram with an inviting first impression and plenty of detail for those who like to linger.
Tasting notes
Adapted from the distillery’s notes.
Nose: Deep caramel and molasses, with rum-like sweetness, dried dark fruit and sultanas. Brown sugar, salted liquorice and a herbal touch add complexity.
Palate: Spice and dryness give way to sweetness before turning dry again. Tart plum and tobacco emerge as the flavours develop.
Finish: Alternating dry and sweet notes, resolving into raspberry lollies and lingering confectionery.
How to enjoy
Begin neat, then try a few drops of water, as Tin Shed suggests, to reveal more of the whisky’s flavour. A rewarding bottle for an evening spent comparing notes.
