Cooper's Choice Blair Athol 11 Year Old Scotch Whisky

The Cooper's Choice range of single cask whiskies from Scotland's finest distilleries are releases from the Family owned Independent Bottlers; The Vintage Malt Whisky Company. The range is a homage to the passion and skill of the Coopers, the craftsmen, who build the barrels for maturation of Scotch Whisky. The range focuses on the impact of maturation in oak, and includes several obscure and rare wood finishes.

This 11 year old scotch whisky was distilled in 2011 at the Highland Blair Athol distillery before maturing in select first fill ex-bourbon hogsheads before a significant finish in an ex-Madeira cask. This whisky was bottled at natural cask strength of 51.5%ABV, with no chill-filtration or colour added. 276 bottles were produced.

Nose: Delightful light sherry notes with candied orange peel.

Palate: Big and mouthcoating with madeira cake, dried fruits and more sherry. Malty vanilla with cocoa powder

Finish: Long lasting. More of the above.
