Cadenhead’s Original Collection Range are curious vattings bottled at 46% ABV.
An extremely dark 17 Year Old malt from the Highland Loch Lomond distillery, bottled by Cadenheads. The colour comes from a finish in first-fill ex-oloroso sherry casks, creating a peated malt with balancing fruit sweetness from the sherry cask finish.
Official notes read, “this is a heavily peated dram, known as their “Inchfad” expression, and was matured in Oloroso sherry casks since 2021. It displays bbq meat notes from the outset and slight hints of cinnamon and pepper add a mild spice to the dram that also has a sweet element on the palate. A mix of both bold and subtle flavours.”
