Mac-Talla Virgin Oak Islay Single Malt 2025 Limited Edition

For the Mac-Talla Virgin Oak 2025 Limited Edition Scotch Whisky release the team at Morrison have created an enticing whisky, from a marriage of 27 standard Amercian barrels. The Mac-Talla Virgin Oak Limited Edition was matured in a combination of ex-Bourbon barrels and level four char virgin American oak casks sourced from Kelvin Cooperage in Kentucky. The whisky then underwent a finishing period in virgin oak, before being vatted, married, and bottled at Aberargie Distillery in Scotland.

Nose: Deep oak spice, toffee apples and muscovado sugars.

Palate: Rich smoked oak, warm baking spices, sticky toffee pudding and creamy butterscotch.

From one of Scotland's oldest Whisky families; previous owners of Bowmore, Auchentoshan and Glen Garioch; the Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers. Mac-Talla means 'Echo' in Scottish Gaelic and reflects the Morrison family connection to the island of Islay perfectly.  Few families know peated whisky, or indeed the Scotch industry better!
