The Glenturret Triple Wood 2025
The Glenturret Triple Wood is an approachable introduction to the character of Scotland's oldest working distillery, bringing together the fruity character of The Glenturret's new make spirit with a combination of American and European oak sherry seasoned casks and Bourbon barrels.
The different cask types each bring something to the whisky, building layers of sweetness, vanilla and gentle spice while allowing the distillery's naturally fruity spirit to remain at the centre. The result is a crisp, sweet and softly spiced single malt that is easy to enjoy but still offers plenty to discover in the glass.
The 2025 release opens with vanilla and toffee apple, followed by barley sugar, malt and light oak. Cinnamon and ginger cake add warmth and spice, with lighter fruits and gentle wood spice carrying through to a soft, sweet finish.
At 45% ABV, Triple Wood is a welcoming and versatile whisky that works just as comfortably enjoyed neat as it does alongside food or in a simple serve. As the first single malt in The Glenturret's annual release, it offers a great starting point for exploring the distillery's modern range.
The Story of The Glenturret
The Glenturret's story dates back to 1763, making it Scotland's oldest working distillery. Still located in the picturesque Hosh near Crieff in Perthshire, the distillery continues to use traditional, hands-on methods of production that have remained central to its character for generations.
In 2019, The Glenturret entered a new chapter following its acquisition by Lalique Group and its partners. Whisky Maker Bob Dalgarno joined the distillery that same year, bringing a fresh focus to the character of the spirit, cask selection and the development of its single malt range.
Today, The Glenturret combines that long history with a considered approach to modern whisky making, guided by its core values of Provenance, Prowess and Passion.
