The Boutique-y Whisky Company are one of the Independent Bottling businesses run by Atom Brands (UK's Master of Malt). Known for quirky label designs, frustratingly 500ml bottles and for bottling truly exceptional casks.
The Speyside Glenallachie is relatively young on the Scottish whisky scene (built in the 1960's), but has certainly received a new lease of life since Billy Walker took over ownership in 2017.
We were fortunate enough to open one of these bottlings by The Boutique-y Whisky Company of a 10 year old Glenallachie (Batch 6), and can attest to it's impressive quality.
For this Batch 6 release of Glenallachie, the Boutique-y Whisky Company vatted together 2 casks of Glenallachie into an ex-Maker's Mark Bourbon cask for a finish. The resulting malt is lifted and floral with touches of vanilla bean, black pepper, yuzu citrus and candied lemons. Delicious!
