From the Sponge: "For Orkney Sponge Edition No.3 we have selected a fine refill hogshead of 2006 Orkney single malt. Matured for 16 years and bottled with a few degrees reduction to our favourite bottling strength of 100 [imperial] proof.

Orkney Sponge is our ongoing attempt at playful tribute to / historical appropriation of (delete according to viewpoint) the famous Old Orkney brand. The original whisky brand which knew how to have fun and not take everything too seriously.

Please enjoy this robust and bracingly coastal Orkney single malt while attempting to navigate a small rowing boat from Eday to Stromness in a force 11 gale while simultaneously composing at least three sea shanties on a small, novelty ukulele."
