Islay Sponge Part 1 1990 31 Year Old Single Cask Scotch Whisky

Whisky Sponge began life as a whisky blog (see http://whiskysponge.com) and now bottle some truly remarkable whiskies! 

This is a truly intriguing release of a single cask from an un-named Islay distillery. Distilled in 1990, bottled in 2022 at 31 years of age.  The entire out-turn was of only 253 bottles.

Expect a complex and well matured example of a peated Islay whisky, with notes of smoked tea, dried exotic fruits and mineral notes of beach pebble and some dried seaweed.
