The Glenturret Triple Wood Single Malt Scotch Whisky

The Glenturret claim to be Scotlands Oldest Distillery. Time muddies water of course, particularly when marketers are splashing around. Who was first is irrelevant to what tastes the best, and certainly the last 15-20 years at The Glenturret has seen a marked increase in quality of production.

This 2020 'Maiden Release' is the first in the grand-spanking new package rolled out by the new(ish) owners of the distillery; French luxury powerhouse (and crystal glassware specialists) Lalique.

Of The Glenturret Triple Wood the distillery says: "A thoughtful combination of European and American Sherry Oak casks alongside Bourbon barrels gives a light and subtle whisky showcasing the sweet, fruity style of our new make spirit – the starting point of the journey for all our single malts.

The three cask types have carefully nurtured the spirit, adding a depth of character and a rich, golden colour."
