North Star The Fool Blended Scotch Whisky

North Star Spirits are a Glasgow based independent bottler priding themselves on bottling only the finest Single Malt Scotch Whiskies, Blended Malt Scotch Whisky and Blended Scotch Whiskies. North Star specialise in artisan single cask whisky from all of Scotlands great Whisky regions. All North Star releases are small batch with no chill filtration and bottled at cask strength.

The North Star 'The Fool' blended scotch whisky, is reportedly a blend of 20% malt to 80% grain, all sourced from the Edrington group (The Macallan, Highland Park, et al) and the malt component being aged in ex- Macallan and Glenlivet butts. A brilliant step by Iain and the team at North Star has been to bottle this at 57.3%, showcasing the brilliant textural components and their great intensity.

Expect something quite different; a wonderfully oily dram with heightened cereal and orchard fruit notes.
