Technically a "blended malt," this expression is a "teaspooned" whisky, hailing from one of the region's most famous, undisclosed distilleries with a mere drop of another malt added to preserve the secret of its origin.
"The Golden Cut Collection" is a premium series within The Coopers Choice range, curated to showcase small batches and single casks where the spirit and the wood have reached a point of perfect harmony. The name refers to the "heart of the run," the most desirable portion of the distillation, and the series is designed to deliver a bold, honest, and unadulterated experience. Every bottling in this collection is presented at a robust 50% ABV, without chill-filtration or artificial colouring, ensuring the true character of the cask remains intact.
On the nose, this 2014 vintage offers a basket of tropical fruits and caramelized vanilla, underpinned by a distinct salty sea spray.
