Deanston 12 Year Old Scotch Whisky - Single Malts Of Scotland

As an independent bottler, Speciality Drinks Ltd searches for casks from the different distilleries around Scotland, looking for the best malts to share with whisky enthusiasts the world over. Each cask is sampled and only if it is found to be of the best quality will it be bottled in the Single Malts of Scotland range as a Single Cask or as part of a small batch. 

Deanston distillery was initially a converted cotton mill, and continue sourcing their energy from hydro. Sustainability and organics are a large focus for Deanston these days. The malt they produce is known to be in the 'waxy' camp.

This single ex-bourbon barrel (cask 177) bottling of 12 year old Deanston was of only 233 bottles. 

The whisky showcases the Deanston elegant but waxy style, with fruit forward malt with elegant floral blossom, honey and spicy notes.

Bottled without chill filtration or colour additions at a natural cask strength of 56.5% ABV.
