Craigellachie 8 Year Old (2008) - Provenance by Douglas Laing
Douglas Laing and Co's Provenance single cask bottlings of Scotch Whisky represent exceptional quality with and accessible price. We tend to find the Provenance whiskies are a great way of tasting the true Distillery style of Spirit/Whisky as they tend to be matured in older barrels that impart less wood character.
This 8 Year Old Craigellachie Scotch Whisky from the Speyside region (quite close in location to the Aberlour town and distillery) in central Scotland was distilled in January 2008 and bottled in March 2016. Generally Whisky made at the Craigellachie distillery is fruity yet oily, with a touch of sulfur and this is bang on the house style!
The palate has flavours of spices and caramel over fresh peaches. A crowd pleaser for sure.
No chill filtering or colour added. 700ml 46% ABV
