Tobermory distilled this Peated whisky on the Isle of Mull back in July 1997 and left it to age in a single refill hogshead until May 2019, when it was bottled with an outturn of only 260 bottles by Douglas Laing.
"The nose is massively smoked initially then comes a leathery quality with smoked meats and iodine. The palate shows the same delicious smokiness - streaky bacon, peated barley and fire embers. The finish brings a subtle sweetness (burnt brown sugar) with the same big, peated quality that just goes on and on and on". CSL
700mL, 50.9% VOL. From a cask of only 260 bottles.
