The Cooper's Choice range of single cask whiskies from Scotland's finest distilleries are releases from the Family owned Independent Bottlers; The Vintage Malt Whisky Company. The range is a homage to the passion and skill of the Coopers, the craftsmen, who build the barrels for maturation of Scotch Whisky. The range focuses on the impact of maturation in oak, and includes several obscure and rare wood finishes.
This 13 year old single malt scotch whisky was distilled in 2007 at the Miltonduff distillery in Scotland's Speyside region. The malt spent a majority of it's life maturing in American Oak casks before a finish in a Imperial Milk Stout Cask. Only 282 bottles from the cask.
From the bottler: "Nose: Coffee notes and brown sugar. Delicious roasted grains. Palate: Big, rich and complex with caramel and burnt malt. More sweetness."
Bottled at cask strength of 57%ABV.
