Bowmore 17 Year Old Scotch Whisky - Single Malts Of Scotland
As an independent bottler, Speciality Drinks Ltd searches for casks from the different distilleries around Scotland, looking for the best malts to share with whisky enthusiasts the world over. Each cask is sampled and only if it is found to be of the best quality will it be bottled in the Single Malts of Scotland range as a Single Cask or as part of a small batch.
Bowmore distillery was founded by David Simpson on the Isle of Islay in 1779, making Bowmore reportedly the oldest distillery on the island!
Only 172 bottles were produced from a single cask of Bowmore single malt Scotch whisky, which was aged for more than 17 years.
Except the nose to be a tussle between gentle peat smoke and salty ocean spray, with hits of wild meadow and tropical fruits. The palate is rich with baked fruits, honey and salted caramel sauce. A delightfully elegant example of a well matured Bowmore.
Bottled without chill filtration or colour additions at a natural cask strength of 54.9% ABV.
